Hey, guys. I just saw the first two trailers for the new NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET film and I must say, I'm very impressed with the new edge that Freddy has in this remake (and no, I'm not just talking about the glove he uses, either! ;D). It's a new spin on an old favorite series of mine when I was growing up. I loved the ELM STREET movies when I was younger, although I have since seen most of the original film series on cable. Freddy gets a more serious and scary edge than in the original. We'll see what happens when the film comes out. Anyone on here going to see this one when it hits theaters at the end of next month? Thoughts and opinions on this film and the original series are appreciated!

Yes! I fully intend to go see this remake. It looks like it will honor the original very well while bringing it into a more modern setting. The fear of a killer stalking you in your dreams is still a very good theme and definitely should be reintroduced to those of us that watched the originals as a new generation discovers why you scream when the man with the knife glove and the scarred face comes after you.......
